Last Friday night was such big fun at Roca Verde - great music, excellent food, fun people - that the band NEW WORLD MONKEYS will be there again this Friday, Sept 27th! Ben Orton (guitar, vocals), Nancy Buchan (5 string violin, vocals) and Richard Abraham (percussion) have been pulling out new and different songs every week - some favorites, some obscure, some original - don't let a little rain keep you from getting yourself to the beach and hearing these professionals do what they clearly love to do! Roca Verde is a beautiful and spacious venue to listen to or dance to live music - don't let the visitors to this area have all the fun!! We will seed collect and scavenger hunt for an educational list of tree love reasons. We will transplant germinated seeds, fill tree bags with fertile soil, dig worms and all that fun stuff. Closing celebration for our Global Giving Tree Campaign 2013. With whole fruit ice cream sundaes! Admission is a donation on our Global Giving campaign page. Any amount is appreciated!

SAMARITAN XOCOLATA lovingly makes fine hand-crafted, artisan chocolates using organic, local and premium ingredients from Costa Rica’s southern zone. Created at a grassroots level in the rural community of Canaan de Rivas, our fine-flavored organic cocoa beans are processed carefully in small batches, giving us a real advantage in creating the finest, most complex taste and highest quality for our products. Our chocolate flavours and recipes are evolving all the time. No two batches of the same recipe are exactly the same. The variety of herbs, spices, fruits, nuts and seeds is somewhat seasonal.
We welcome you to come and see how chocolate is made, from bean to bonbon and bar, and participate, hands-on, in the process. It’s a delicious experience, as well as an educational one, where you will learn about the beneficial attributes of chocolate, the history of cacao in Costa Rica, and the art of fine chocolate making.
